Prior to joining Everytown, he served as a policymaker in Albany, NY at the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services, where he consulted the statewide G.I.V.E. Initiative from 2015 to 2018, contributing to a 15% decline of all gun-related offenses across 17 counties. Prior to joining DCJS, Michael-Sean served as an Assistant District Attorney in his hometown Queens, NY, prosecuting intimate partner violence, organized crime and leading interstate investigations into tax evasion which acquired 5MM in restitution to NYS taxpayers. Michael-Sean's mission is to amplify the voices and impact of those who are most affected by gun violence and to foster collaboration and innovation among diverse stakeholders to achieve lasting change and create safer communities.
